WE ARE ALL SURVIVORS
(Dir: Amber, 49 mins, 2011, NR, UK)
Documentary following the community music project, Crossings, which brings together asylum seekers, refugees, local and international singers and instrumentalists, as they prepare for a special performance at Newcastle’s Holocaust Memorial Event in 2010. The film explores the different experiences, expectations and cultural traditions that the band brings together, and the difficulties in negotiating a meeting ground between them.
