Migrant Labour in Kuwait (ref 41)

Text: Over the last few months news about Kuwait, or at least its involvement in the Iran-Iraq war, has been brought to us daily by the western press. For the first time the name of Kuwait has become linked with more than ‘a small oil sheikhdom’, revealing the importance that such small country possesses at an international level. Whilst Kuwait has been an active supporter of Iraq since the start of the Gulf war, it still relies heavily for the generation of its wealth on Iranian migrant workers.
